An internal review revealed that the Hunting compensated swivel is compatible with up to 30 feet of guns, with a maximum diameter of 3-3/8”. When deploying wireline logging or perforating tools downhole, the oil-filled and pressure-compensated Hunting swivel alleviates line torque by enabling free rotation while maintaining uninterrupted communication with the tool string. A pressure-balancing piston ensures that borehole pressure does not hinder rotation, and the internal bearings allow for rotation under both tension and compression, even in the presence of side loading.
