Our Electromagnetic Thickness Tools (EMT) are designed to measure the thickness of casing walls. Power is supplied, and signals are transmitted through a mono-conductor cable. The EMT features an array of miniature sensors, with each sensor capturing a magnetic variation signal. Data from all twelve sensors is transmitted through the telemetry cartridge to the surface, where it is presented in log records. For optimal operation, the EMT must be centralized. It is recommended to use it in combination with the multi-finger caliper. Special interpretation software is available for analyzing EMT data alone or for combined analysis of EMT and multi-finger caliper measurements, allowing for three-dimensional imaging and output.
